The Siren Orchestra

Mécanique Vivante (FR)

Mécanique Vivante continues to Voerendaal. In The Siren Orchestra on Parade, this French Theater Company takes you on a surprising, musical parade through the village. Along the route is a focus on the sirénium, a unique instrument that leads the Sirens. Franz Clochard, the man behind the self-made locomotives featured in the parade, has dramatically changed the world of circus over the past 30 years. With his brilliant inventive mind, he transforms old utensils into other-worldly theatrical instruments, creating unique shows in cities around the world. Like the seven-member polyphonic orchestra of musical sirens. Walk with this unique parade in a special performance through Voerendaal. At the end of the parade, another special finale unfolds, in which Limburg singers Fenna Ograjensek and Lien Haegeman perform a specially composed song live, singing through giant, rotating horns. Tip: On Friday, August 25 and Saturday, August 26, Mécanique Vivante can be seen in Heerlen with a special production – created for the opening of the City Hall and City Office.
