SONO IO?
CIRCUS RONALDO (BE)
CANCELLED
With pain in their hearts, Circus Ronaldo has to cancel the performances on August 30 and 31 in Heerlen. They were greatly looking forward to meeting the Cultura Nova audience, but unfortunately actor Pepijn Ronaldo suffered an injury during the last training session, making it now impossible to perform the show.
An ode to the rich history of circus
Danny and Pepijn Ronaldo, father and son, together on stage in Sono Io? (Am I?) by Circus Ronaldo. United by a shared love of music and clowning, they build a bridge between their similarities and their differences. The father seems stuck in his past, desperately searching for an age-old but faded feeling of ecstasy. The son seeks reconciliation between the old circus created by his father and the world beyond.
The sixth and seventh generations
The roots of Circus Ronaldo stretch far back into the past. Danny and Pepijn, father and son in real life, are the sixth and seventh generations of the circus family. With this partly biographical performance which was voted the best theatre show of 2022 by the Belgian Theatre Festival, they pay tribute to their rich circus past.
