REMOTE POSTING

Sachit Ajmani and the OWRSI Collective (IN)

REMOTE POSTING is a musical theater piece set in the distant future, where normal people go to space as astrowokers, performing mundane but profitable tasks.

Anthroworker Kim has agreed to be placed in space longer than most other people. With only spaceship sounds and the AI of the onboard computer for company, she experiences a loneliness that is both profound and unique. The same loneliness faced by modern-day oil drillers or lighthouse keepers of the past. Perhaps the phenomenon of isolation has changed less across generations and across vast space than we think. We ask our audience the question: have we really changed through time and technological progress?
