ORGANISMO

Maraña (DE)

A visual metamorphosis that beguiles the senses

ORGANISMO is a multidisciplinary sensorial performance. A mix of live art installation, contemporary circus, object theater and live music, based around a wool scenography and knitted by Chilean director Paula Riquelme Orbenes.

With ORGANISMO, the Berlin-based company depicts the collective breath. Being part of something greater than ourselves: a shared we. This collective dynamic breathes life into the art installation, weaving a being out of threads, hands and bodies. What follows is an organic interplay of colors, materials, sensations and sounds that transport you into a kaleidoscopic, immersive world. With physical precision and blind faith, the seven performers become entwined in a collective: something greater than the individual.

“A performance that you have certainly not seen before – an evening that is difficult to describe and therefore simply should not to be missed.” – Stormaner Tagblatt

Colorful Wool Installations
In her work, Orbenes creates structures of wool that are located between space, microcosm and coral reef. Her colorful wool installations have a life of their own. They transform, sing and dance. Living body parts emerge from openings, intertwine, touch and explore each other. Tentacles of flesh and wool become one in a visual metamorphosis that, combined with live music, beguiles the senses.
