KORROL (4+)

Grensgeval (BE)

Vibrant new circus-sound theater with drumming blocks, a petrified acrobat and dancing concrete

In KORROL, an acrobatic architect composes space with pounds of concrete. His name is Jonas and he builds towers, which turn into a city, a deserted plain, a human being. Frighteningly, Jonas balances on teetering towers. But every time he tries to lay the final support, his work proves unfinished. On his hands, he jumps from stone to stone. No matter what he tries: everything remains so stiff and still. Until he puts on the concrete: spinning on leaden shoes, he orchestrates a small ballet. His whole body he (re)builds. Even when he almost collapses under the weight, Jonas finds the freedom for a duet between toe and little finger in this visual theater about art and creation.
