A rapper with a mission.

Babs cannot be pigeonholed. This 3voor12 talent of the Popronde 2022 likes to kick against stereotypes around gender and sexuality. As a female producer and rapper, she tries to playfully counteract a male-dominated scene. Her music is a combination of fast-paced dance drums, melodic rap and funky, rhythmic chords with an upbeat pop flavor. The story is key. Babs wants to bring color to society’s black-and-white thinking with her music.

Babs’ first release appeared during the pandemic, in 2021. She didn’t let grass grow over it, as in a short time she released 9 singles and 2 EPs, played on a full Malieveld during Bevrijdingsfestival Den Haag and made her mainstage debut during Rotterdam Pride (after Duncan Laurence) in front of 15,000+ people. She scored her first sync in the international, award-winning hip-hop series Atlanta. Meanwhile, she is already busy with her next project and has writing sessions with Willie Wartaal, Linde Schöne and Shary-An, among others. We are going to hear a lot more from this rapper with a mission.
