A moment for everyone, young and old, to celebrate life.  

The day after the opening of the festival, L’Homme Debout arrives in Simpelveld with the short and impressive performance AKA. At four different moments of the day, a giant puppet dances a specially created choreography based on the essence of the elements: the puppet, movement, one pure and organic sound, a heartbeat, a breath.  

AKA is a call to overcome the fear that paralyses. An impulse to let go, to find rhythm, energy, certainty, to truly exist, to rejoice and to touch the sensation of having lived a brief moment. This is what you experience when AKA comes to life during the day and in the evening especially for Cultura Nova in Simpelveld and dances for all of us.
